Dailyn Brown
Dailyn Brown grew up in California near the border of the USA and Mexico which sparked her passion for learning languages and immersing herself in other cultures. While working towards her Bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Redlands, she was able to study abroad two times which continued to expand her interest in connecting with people from around the world.
After graduating with her BA, Dailyn received a TESOL certification and worked for ten years at EF International Language Centers. During this time, she worked with students from over 50 countries and had the opportunity to travel and live 鈥渓ocally鈥� while visiting some of her former students and friends. She realized her passion for working with adult language learners was only growing, so she returned to graduate school where she obtained an MEd. in TESOL, Literacy, and Culture in hopes of becoming a professor. Since graduating, Dailyn has taught ESL and English at several colleges around San Diego County.
When she is not teaching ELLs, Dailyn enjoys traveling and exploring new places with her husband, tending to their urban farm, and exploring her artistic pursuits. She also speaks at conferences about best practices in ESOL education, and mentors future professors of the MEd. TESOL program at USD, sometimes as a professor, mentor teacher, or university liaison.
