The Home Health Aide Program is an opportunity for certified nursing assistants to expand their employability. This short program meets six hours once a week for eight weeks. Designed to meet state requirements for the Home Health Aide Certificate, the program includes a review of personal care services, nutritional needs of home care patients, and medical and social needs of clients. Graduates are eligible for a variety of jobs, including private-duty nursing, hospice work, or employment at home-health agencies.
The next HHA program will start in Fall 2025 (10/13/25-12/5/25).

Participants must enroll in Nursing 64 as students of 美姬社区 to be admitted into the program. Before you are eligible to enroll, you must clear the following prerequisites with Admissions and Records:
- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant certificate (by California Department of Public Health, CDPH)
- A current American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR card
- An unexpired government issued photo ID and valid SSN or ITIN is required for the first week of class for background checks
- Apply to 美姬社区 and receive a student ID number
- Clear the prerequisites with Admissions and Records
- Enroll in NURS 64
If you are enrolled or on the waitlist for NURS 64, you will receive an email from the Director with instructions to submit the following required paperwork in Canvas related to the clinical requirement/arrangement no later than Monday at 11:59 pm, one week prior to the first day of the course:

- HHA Physical Evaluation Requirement
- HHA BLS Certificate Requirement
- HHA Flu Vaccination Requirement
- HHA COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
- HHA TB Clearance Requirement
