ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø has in place a comprehensive set of Design and Construction Standards to serve as a guideline for ensuring each project meets the district’s standards for new construction as well as renovation and modernization projects.
The minimum criteria for establishment of these standards are:
- Quality
- Maintenance
- Cost
- Location
- Energy Efficiency
- Life Cycle Costs
- Safety
The district’s addresses overall design intent for the ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø campuses. It is recommended that this plan is referenced for design implementation criteria. These documents include:
- ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø Facilities Master Plan (FMP)
- Sustainability Goals & Guidelines
- Technology Guidelines
- Utilities and Infrastructure Drawings
- Space & Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) Standards
The project team for the development of theses standards included representatives from the colleges and the district, along with ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇøâ€™s construction management consultant, and architects and consulting engineers retained by ÃÀ¼§ÉçÇø to assist with this effort.
It is the district intention that the standards will be applied to all new projects as all as all modernization and renovation projects.
