General Contract Information
- Honors contracts extend an opportunity for individualized and intensive instruction in close communication between student and instructor.
- Honors Contracts are requested by the student through Surf. See below for detailed instructions.
- Any student can pursue an honors contract 鈥� a student does not have to be a member of the Honors Program.
- Students may use contracts toward completion requirements for Certified Honors, UCLA TAP, or UCI Honors Transfer.
- Please note, not all courses offer honors contracts, and not all instructors teach honors contracts. Some honors courses are typically offered only as an onsite class, only online, or only on one campus.
- Only a limited number of contracts are available each semester. Honors contract requests that are both timely and complete will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Honors Contract Request Due Dates 2025-26 School Year
Fall 2025
- August 29, 2025: 8-Week (first session) courses
- September 12, 2025: Regular start courses
- September 19, 2025: 12 & 15-Week courses
- October 24, 2025: 8-Week (late start) courses
Spring 2026
- January 30, 2026: 8-Week (first session) courses
- February 12, 2026: Regular start courses
- February 27, 2026: 12 & 15-Week courses
- April 3, 2026: 8-Week (late start) courses
Summer 2026
- June 19, 2025: All courses
