Makeup Exam Proctoring
The Academic Proctoring Center (APC) offers in-person makeup exam proctoring for students who cannot test within the parameters/dates set by their instructor due to extenuating circumstances. Makeup exams are offered at the Oceanside, San Elijo, and Community Learning Center campus.
Make-up Exam Step-By-Step Process
- Student cannot attend instructor鈥檚 scheduled exam and requests a makeup exam.
- The instructor contacts the APC and submits exam information via (TTF) with exam dates, parameters, student information, exam, etc.
- APC receives TTF and sends confirmation/approval email with next steps.
- Following TTF approval, students contact the APC to schedule their appointment. **Students cannot schedule an appointment until the instructor鈥檚 Test Transmittal Form is approved.**
- Student completes exam at the Academic Proctoring Center.
- Following completion of exam, the APC sends an exam confirmation email and returns exam materials to the instructor.

If you plan to give a different version of the exam than the one already on file,
please re-submit a Test Transmittal Form. This process only applies to exams that
were already submitted on the original Test Transmittal Form for the entire class.
Please note: Makeup exams are not offered during finals week.
Makeup exam services are available on an individual basis, not for entire classes.
